FREE CHRISTIAN CHAT ROOMS PAGE 1 OUR FATHER GOD As the song goes....How deep the Fathers love for us..how rich beyond all measure......that He should send His only Son. I'm hoping in this post/message to put accross sound biblical teaching on the Father & Son relationship from some of the scripture. This is the relationship that we can have as Sons and daughters of the Living God..we cry out Abba Father..He is our Father and we are His children. . Whatever our past experience of a Father is....we can draw from the character and love of God through reading the scripture..this is the inspired word of God . You could say " God wrote it through human hands, and expressed himself through human lifes ". Here we can interact and discuss the Father ? Son and Our relationship with the Father. I realise that not all will agree ...and that is fine...as we can agree to disagree....all I can do is try to put accross scripture in the light of my own experience and in the light of scripture. 1. John 20:31 ...That Jesus is the Christ the Son of God." John 16:3"And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor me." Here we see Jesus as separate from the Father and yet the same in nature. WE can have a personal relationship with Father God as Jesus had, we can call Him Abba Father .....He wants relationship.. We might know the word but DO WE know the the author ? :) . 2. John 10:30 " I and my father are one" Jesus is not saying he is the father. they are not one person but in nature they are a united one. All three ...the Son ..The Father..& The Holy Spirit have the same characteristics and nature ...and of course they would have as they are separate but AS one...this is the Trinity. 3. In John 20:17 Jesus said "I am ascending to my Father and your Father to my God and your God." There is a slight difference in that Jesus says , " My Father and your Father" " My God and your God. Remember we are adopted into His family. As adopted children we inherit and share, all that is His we now have available . God wants to share...this is His nature ...to share....
